Emergency Calls
911 service is available on your Edge Wireless phone. Keep in mind that if there is no signal or coverage in the area from which
you are calling, your call to 911 will not go through. If your wireless call to 911 does not go through, find the nearest landline
phone and call for help.
When you are connected to 911, tell the dispatcher the following information and do not disconnect the call until notified to do so:
Your name and phone number, including area code,
What kind of emergency has occurred,
Whether you need police, fire or medical assistance,
The exact location of the emergency,
How many people are involved, their condition and if help is being administered.
If Your Phone Is Stolen
Immediately contact Edge Wireless Customer Care. You are responsible for all charges that may be incurred
until you contact us.
Contact the police department and obtain a police report number.
If you have wireless insurance (available when you purchase the phone, for a nominal monthly fee), call the insurance carrier
with the police report number to start processing your claim.
Driving Safety Tips
Safety - Your most important call. The Wireless Industry reminds you to use your phone safely when driving.
For added safety, Edge Wireless will provide a hands-free headset free of charge with all wireless phones we sell, so you can
keep both hands where they belong - on the wheel.
Use of your handset should never interfere with driving safely. Dial only when your car is stopped;
use speed dial whenever possible. Do not take notes, send text messages or look up phone numbers while driving.
Check the laws and regulations on the use of wireless handsets in the areas where you drive.
Learn how your phone works before you use it in the car.
Position your phone within easy reach.
Let your voicemail answer your calls when it is inconvenient or unsafe to answer.
Dial 911 or other local emergency numbers to report serious emergencies - it's free from your wireless phone.
